Hello, my name is KISE (Keez)

I am an acrylic painter and content creator, I was born in Haiti, which inspires my love of bold colors. I've been creating art since middle school, my favorite classes were ceramics, advanced painting, graphic design etc..

I paint original paintings on stretched and linen canvas panels using the highest quality acrylic paints; my subjects vary from flowers, to fruits to humans and some animals.

I paint for many reasons, to clear my mind and meditate, to spend time learning the craft of painting and to explore the spontaneous ideas that pop in my head.

A few things...

My art journey

As a lower income person, making art is sometimes inconvenient, finding the time, money, and energy to create is difficult.

I’ve always been a part-time artist, usually working, going to school, or doing both while pursuing my art and making content.

I dream of having a large fancy studio with huge windows, in the meantime, I’m practicing, experimenting, and figuring myself out. By the time I have the means and that fancy studio comes around, I’ll be all ready to go! Until then, we keep pushing <3
My art process

My process can be either calm or chaotic and scattered. Some days I paint in full silence, other days I take short breaks to snack, dance or nap.

One thing that helps my process is listening to hour-long edm house mixes or multi-hour long playlists of my favorite artists, a continuous painting session is essential.

I listen to a variety of genres, k-pop, kompa, folk, edm, pop, rap, choir, classical. At least once while painting I will listen to one  my favorite songs “All in here” or "Time for space”  by Emancipator.
